Regular physical activity is important throughout life and Physical Education in schools is crucial for promoting lifetime wellness by teaching students essential motor skills, fostering healthy habits, building physical fitness, developing positive mental health, and equipping them with the knowledge and tools to make healthy choices throughout their lives. Exercise improves cardiovascular health while strengthening muscles, enhancing flexibility and promoting better posture and balance which are all critical in life.
Cosby High’s PE II course targets specific muscle groups to build muscular strength, endurance and flexibility. Individual goal setting is an important component in this course and are a part of lifetime wellness.
