Art, music and theatre are an important part of the school day as it allows students to express themselves creatively and imaginatively. It can even help them to understand and express their emotions. Music plays a role in stimulating parts of the brain that are associated with academic achievement, like reading and math and it can also improve cognitive functions like memory, problem-solving and critical thinking. Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, critical thinking and verbal skill. Art and music also play crucial roles in addressing healing and trauma.
Join us at Cosby High as we explore the world of art, theatre and music!
